Project overview

In recent years, the industrially relevant organism C. glutamicum was developed by classical techniques to produce different amino acids. To rationally construct an L-arginine overproducing strain, further knowledge about the metabolic reactions and their regulation is needed. By investigating arginine biosynthesis on the levels of transcriptome, the proteome, and the metabolome, knowledge will be collected to engineer an optimized C. glutamicum arginine production strain with well-known genomic modifications.
