Project overview

The fungus Rhizoctonia solani is a plant pathogen that affects different economic plants, whereas Bacillus amyloliquefaciens FZB42 is a plant-associated bacterium which suppresses soil-borne plant pathogens. In order to study the effects of the bacillus on the fungus, the fungal genome sequence has been established and will be annotated with the newly developed genome annotation system GenDB3. This resource will be used for conducting RNA-Seq experiments to measure the effects on transcriptomic level.
