Axel Prinz started his project on "Protein purification with aqueous two-phase extraction" at TU Dortmund University today. He will work in the Laboratory of Fluid Separations with Prof. Dr.-Ing. Andrzej Górak.

Two new students started in Bielefeld, where Christina Ander will work on "Development of software methods for comparative analysis of metagenomes" with Prof. Dr. Jens Stoye and Tobias Jakobi will undertake "Development of a data evaluation pipeline for the functional annotation of eukaryotic cDNA sequence data of a Chinese Hamster Ovary cell line" under the supervision of Dr. Andreas Goesmann and Prof. Dr. Alfred Pühler.

Having had to move furthest to his new place of work, Prakash Chandra Rathi joined the group of Prof. Dr. Holger Gohlke at the University of Duesseldorf today. He will work towards "Enhancing protein thermostability without compromising enzyme activity by mutagenesis at sites predicted by rigidity analysis". Co-supervisor is Prof. Karl-Erich Jaeger.

Welcome and good luck!
