Summer brings new students to the cluster

01 June 2010

Today, at the (meteorological) start of summer, three new students are starting their fellowships. Ella Müller will work on the development of artificial regulatory networks in C. glutamicum for the production of industrial compounds. She will work at the CeBiTec under the guidance of Dr. Jörn Kalinowski. Also working on polyomics, Felix Eikmeyer will perform metagenome and metatranscriptome analyses of microbial communities involved in fermentation of primary agricultural products together with Dr. Andreas Schlüter at the same institute. In the area of biocatalysis, Alexander Pelzer will characterise novel subtilisin proteases from P. aeruginosa in the group of Dr. Susanne Wilhelm. The lab is based at the Forschungszentrum Juelich and part of the Institute for Molecular Enzyme Technology, IMET.
