Project overview

Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris (Xcc) is the producer of the thickening agent xanthan. Considerable efforts have been put into investigating xanthan biosynthesis, xanthan solution properties as well as the growth behaviour of Xcc under production conditions. Nevertheless, knowledge of the regulation of this metabolic pathway is still limited. The major goal of this work is the identification and characterization of regulatory elements that have an impact on xanthan biosynthesis.

Proteome-based analysis of xanthan biosynthesis in Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris.
