Research interests

Redox biocatalysis using whole cells and isolated enzymes, construction and characterization of engineered microbial cells for in vivo biocatalysis, highly productive and specific oxyfunctionalizations of hydrocarbons by means of microbial cells, systems biology studying the metabolic network in Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas putida and Saccharomyces cerevisae, single cell analysis, electroenzymology.
